We are having a lazy kind of day around here.  Let TRex watch TV in our bed while we snoozed this morning (lordy is Caillou annoying, even when I'm 3/4 asleep!), went for a walk to CVS and the ATM, had a picnic lunch in the back yard and played outside for a bit, and now she's sleeping.  When she wakes up we'll make our way to the train and head downtown to see what shenanigans are on down there.  We will NOT be staying for the pyrotechnics; even though TRex said she wanted to (she is pathologically terrified of fireworks), they don't start 'til almost 10 and IF she was still awake she would NOT be able to handle them at that hour.

Sounds like a nice Fourth. We had the family over for a cook-out lunch, lots of sitting around chatting, and the older kids being run ragged by the 4-year-old. Now I'm waiting for annoying neighbors to finish setting off their illegal firecrackers so I can go to bed. Aside from this they are actually nice neighbors, so I'm not calling the cops, however tempting...

Yeah, they were going around here 'til about 11:30. I was surprised they didn't wake TRex - the sure sounded loud through the monitor!
