On blessings...

Over the past several days,  the subject of blessings has come up a number of times.  There's the FlyLady's "Weekly Home Blessing Hour" (which I mentioned in passing yesterday).   During Montse and Cami's wedding mass, there was a time when  a blessing was said, and the invitees were asked to share blessings with their neighbors (or so I gather; we were outside playing in the rocks for most of the ceremony).  The latter of these prompted a family discussion of what exactly a blessing is (I won't disclose the content of that discussion for fear of biasing my poll results...).  So I of course wondered what my wonderful LJ peeps thought of this question...[Poll #867351][Poll #867351]
