Divesting...

So, I am trying to reduce the amount of crap in our house...

Should I sell on ebay?  craisglist?  or just donate to goodwill?

How much hassle is ebay really?  more or less than craigslist, with the constant "when can we meet up to exchange goods for dollars" negotiations?

We just donated to Goodwill. We deducted stuff from our taxes, and it was just a trip or two.

i would vote for donating somewhere tax deductible as well.

My brother sold a lot of stuff on Craigslist and seemed to like it. I'd only sell very valuable things on Ebay- it's become more and more of a hassle for sellers. You're forced to use Paypal and hope there are no problems. I'd go with Craigslist and donating things that don't go on there or aren't worth it.

We gave stuff to Goodwill. It was the easiest.

You can always Freecycle too, but also can be a bit of a pain. I don't see selling anything as worth it unless you really think something is valuable.

Or have a garage sale?
