The power blinked here a couple of minutes ago... (what is it with New England getting proper thunderstorms lately??? Not that I'm complaining...) I lost my network connection... this is not an unusual occurence - I think my ethernet cart is a little loose, because my connection tends to drop if I move the computer or if I plug something in to the USB ports that are located right next to the ethernet card. Usually, though, unplugging and replugging my cable fixes the problem. It didn't this time.

It took going downstairs to get a snack (which, incidentally, the machine didn't see fit to actually GIVE me... the Skittles bag was wrinkled up in the spiraly thing, dammit) and poking at my internet preferences for it to occur to me that maybe the power outage made the minihub unhappy.

A quick power cycle, and I'm back online.
