Holy sweet mother of...
The shiny red snowblower has a new name:
THE BEAST
After being dumb about starting it (oh, right, there's a KEY that makes it go!), I successfully cleared the rest of the driveway and the sidewalks, but HOLY CRAP was that hard! The drive wheel didn't get much purchase, so I had to push the thing most of the time. I want there to be a gear between 3rd and 4th, because in 3rd it can't go quite fast enough, and in 4th it tries to get away from me a little bit. I'm sure I looked terribly comical out there... there were some neighbors clearing their driveways, cool as cucumbers, and here I was huffing and puffing and swearing...
But I did it. Take that, six inches of snow! (At least that's my eyeballed amount based on what's standing next to the cleared sidewalks.) Go, me!

I had to SHOVEL my entire driveway. And we had eight inches. And I got stuck in the PARKING LOT at work.
Uh, any chance you could loan me the snowblower?
