I definitely go through phases of *loathing* particular chores. I'm entertained now to think back on how deeply I resented making the bed a year or so ago. Could you trade chores with M for a week or two? Or take a ridiculous everyone-eats-prepackaged-whatever vacation for a few days? For me, a break from the most hated chores makes a big difference in turning loathing+dread back into appropriate mild irritation -- for example, a couple days of the bed not being made (or C. making it!) easily convinces me that, while annoying, it's definitely actually worth my time!
