And then there were 3...

*sigh* If there were any justice in the world, Nick would have been going to Olympus Fashion Week, but he's not. Sadly, everyone but Santino buckled under the pressure of "Create an evening gown that illustrates the collection you'll put together for Fashion Week if you don't BLOW IT on this challenge." Predictably, Kara blew it the most. I agree with EVERYONE about the "what the hell?"ness of that SEAM in Chloe's skirt. Ugh! The fabric was gorgeous, the bodice was gorgeous, the back was really interesting, with the low back and the ribbon sash breaking the line. But that SEAM! Kara's just not even worth commenting on. It looked like crap. Daniel was elegant, understated... I loved the cris-crossing straps on the back. Tim commented on the podcast that Daniel's vision for his collection is Japanese mixed with military details. Buh? 1) that totally didn't come through in this gown and 2) wtf? But anyway... we'll see how THAT comes out. Iman looked TOTALLY HOT in his gown, though. She was working that cleavage like there's no tomorrow! Santino... oh dear. For one, thing, I really didn't need to see Santino in his tighty-whities. In fact, I would have preferred not to give any thought whatsoever to the possibility that he could ever be anything other than fully dressed. The gown... oyvey. The base dress was GORGEOUS. He should have just stopped. No weird fishytail spangles. No weird over-under boob spangles. NO SPANGLES! But, I have to say, he was not the one who deserved to be out on this challenge. He was the only one who made any kind of statement at all. He should've been out last week, and we should've had Nick going through intstead of him, but the producers wanted to torture us.

Next week should be a riot... reunion show bitchiness! Hooray!

Would someone *please* chop off Santino's skullet? It offends my sensibilities. It really should offend his too, but sometimes people can't see what's right in front of their nose... or in his case, laying all scraggly against his neck.

Spoiler Link, sorta

I don't know if you're interested - so here's a link to click, or not to click...
These are the collections from fashion week. Once I knew the final three, I couldn't wait to look. These are the nicest photos I could find of the collections.

Ok. I just want to know why Kara has a collection too.

Because, due to a bizarre timing decision, Fashion Week precedes the episode in which the final 3 are chosen. If Kara hadn't had a showing, people would have known in advance that she was 'out'.

It's not a *good* explaination, but it's the one we got last year when they let Austin Scarlett show at Fashion Week. I don't know WHY they didn't fix it this year.

I would guess because Fashion Week is a bigger deal than some piddly Bravo reality series, and they don't lose much by letting the 3rd-runner-up have a show as well. It's not like they're gonna reschedule Fashion Week around PR. And I don't think the timing would work out for PR to be a fall show, which would mean starting it right before the holidays to get to this point in the season, and that's not good TV sense.

But it's not like PR was *surprised* about the scheduling of fashion week. They could have started with one fewer designer. Or had another challenge that eleminated 2 at once. Or something. They clearly liked it this way, though I can't imagine why.

Having said that, I certainly don't mind. I think it's kind of interesting that one person who's OUT still gets to show. Does make me extra sad for Nick though. He only missed showing by one challenge. Even if he'd been out the next week, he would still have gotten to show in NYC. *sigh*
