Whoo, Vancouver!

AoIR amused me by wanting to get notifications out about this year's conference by April 1.  They made the target... and I'm pretty sure this wasn't a joke.

Proposal title: Space and Place: The New Playgrounds of 21st Century Life
Sarah Ford:
Congratulations! I am pleased to accept your paper for the IR 8.0 conference to be held October 18 to October 20, 2007 in Vancouver, British Columbia.  At least one author of the paper must register for IR 8.0 no later than September 1, 2007, to avoid the paper being removed from the program.

Mark & I are presenting in Vancouver.  Yay!

Movie Review: Nacho Libre

I picked up a bunch of used DVDs for five bucks each at the grocery store last week.  Saturday night, M and I sat down to watch Nacho Libre.  I had earlier in the day commented to him that the quote on the front of the box - "If you love Jack Black, you'll love Nacho Libre" really seemed like it came from a negative review of the movie.

Well, I love Jack Black, but I hated Nacho Libre.  We sat through 20 minutes and just couldn't take it anymore.  We turned it off.  The last movie we gave up on that quickly was The Ladies Man.  To say that we were disappointed would be a major understatement.
