JCC board to phase out Getzville facility

Our JCC is closing. Well, that's saying a bit much... the building we frequent the most is closing. The building with the nice gym, with the big pool with the diving board, with the OUTDOOR pool, is closing. The building where TRex was supposed to start preschool next September. They'll be moving the early childhood center to a relatively nearby Temple, but I've also called the downtown location to ask for registration materials for that building. I don't know what we'll do about preschool at this point - one of the appeals of the program is the gym and swimming classes, which obviously she won't get at the new location for the suburban center.

Meh. The part that burns me up the most is that EVERYONE heard about this through the grapevine - staff included.

Exclusive: Cheney impeachment articles due Wednesday, April 25th

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), the former mayor of Cleveland who is seeking the 2008 Democratic nomination for president for the second time, has selected a date to introduce articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney. A source who asked to remain anonymous told RAW STORY that the articles of impeachment would be introduced next week.
