and I can't say I disagree with him (but then, when do I ever?) [Also testing out clipmarks]

Special comment: Condi goes too far

Olbermann: Secretary Riceâ™s comparison of Saddam to Hitler is not accurate

If Congress were now to revise the Iraq authorization, she said, out loud, with an adult present: "⦠it would be like saying that after Adolf Hitler was overthrown, we needed to change, then, the resolution that allowed the United States to do that, so that we could deal with creating a stable environment in Europe after he was overthrown."

There is, obviously, no mistaking Saddam Hussein for a human being. But nor is there any mistaking him for Adolf Hitler.

Invoking the German dictator who subjugated Europe; who tried to exterminate the Jews; who sought to overtake the world is not just in the poorest of taste, but in its hyperbole, it insults not merely the victims of the Third Reich, but those in this country who fought it and defeated it.

Today seems to be my day of experimentaiton... I just downloaded Flock and am seeing how it works.

If you've been paying attention, you've noticed two "testing" type posts from me today.  In one case I was testing ClipMarks and in the other I was testing Flock.  I'm liking them both.  I really do like the integration of browsing and blogging that these two allow.

I am so very Web 2.0.  ;^)

The real reason why no one reads your (my) blog.

Ever wonder why the traffic to your blog is so terrible? I too am concerned about increasing my readership, so I decided to gather some information to help me decipher why my traffic sucks.

What I found wasnâ™t encouraging.

Consider the following facts:

16% of the worldâ™s population is illiterate, which leaves only 840 million readers.

Of that, only 20% of the worldâ™s population speaks English, leaving 168 million readers.

Only 30% of internet users read blogs, leaving 50 million readers.

50 million people, sounds like a lot right? Wrong!

Thatâ™s pretty simple math, 50 million blogs for 50 million readers.

Therefore, with an average of only 1 reader per blog, then whoâ™s reading your blog?

Thatâ™s right, just you. Depressing, ainâ™t it?

... I am disinclined to go to practice. I will evaluate what I really want to do once I get on the roads and see how bad they are and what the precipitation really is (as opposed to what it sounds like).  One should note that the last time I chose not to go to practice based on the weather was the evening of the October Surprise.

I was glad I made the decision I did, I tell you whut.  [info]baronessmartha, I may be home for Grey's after all. Also I have a shitton of stuff to get done tomorrow and might like to get a head start on it. That is all.

When it's not enough to have your iPod with you during all of your waking hours.

When I was a kid, we accomplished this same thing by just leaving the radio on all night.

This is totally one of those 'kill two birds with one stone' inventions. The smart technology tune-in bed comes with two 4" speakers and an audio input connection so you can connect your iPod and MP3 player directly into your bed. Rather than counting sheep, you can drift into dreamland with soothing sounds surrounding your bed. I think I'd end up using it to rock out in the mornings after I've hit my snooze button a few too many times.

Available at Pottery Barn Teen and costs $700 for a twin, $900 for a full and $1000 for a queen. Headboards come in sun valley honey, white, navy, ice blue and light green.
