observations
May. 15th, 2007 04:05 pm- Some people need something more to do with their lives than forward every chain e-mail they get.
- Houses (and the upkeep thereof) are expensive.
- TRex has been in a phenomenally happy mood the past couple of days. She makes me laugh a lot.
- It is slowly dawning on me that I have to teach next week. Of course, I only have 2 people enrolled in my class, so I will probably also end up having to decide whether or not to offer it as a "tutorial". I wonder if they'd let me do it as an online tutorial.
- I had a bizarre dream last night that involved swimming along a flooded highway with TRex (best way to swim with her: sidestroke, supporting her by one arm - she did really well staying afloat this way), getting an electric shock transmitted by a snake, and the guys who were handling the snake being concerned that I was going to report them as terrorists (which they weren't, and I wasn't going to). And then I woke up and TRex was awake and M went to get her and she climbed on the bed and sat on top of me saying "Mama! I wake! Mama! Wake up!"
- Just like miniaturized grownup clothes for babies are adorable (like baby jeans, etc.), miniaturized medieval clothing is adorable. I've almost finished TRex's new red linen tunic and it's just so stinkin' cute I can't stand it. I also had a clever but probably not original idea about how to deal with the huge cuffs and tapered sleeves that I'll post to the SCA blog once I've finished the tunic.
