Man am I tired.
First day of summer session was today. Last night I had myself all tied in knots, the way I always do before a class starts. That all goes away when I get into the classroom, though. Then I'm just in the flow of being me in front of a group of students. In this case, only two of them, and we are going to run it as an online tutorial. It will be interesting to see how that works out. Both of the students seem pretty interested & motivated, and we were having good discussions already today.
M and TRex walked with me to the train this morning. Initially when we set out, they were just going to walk me to the bus stop, but we were early enough that we just kept walking and went the whole way to the train station (about a mile and a half). Which was good because she was a bit befuddled by the whole mama going to the office and daddy staying home thing. And then this afternoon they came and picked me up from the train, too, and we walked home. Got home, I changed, and TRex asked to go out for a walk. She ran off ahead of us (?!?!?!) saying "Up the ramp... down the ramp.... up the ramp... down the ramp..." and made it quite a ways before she got distracted by
Came home, made dinner (TRex helped with salads... giving her one piece of lettuce to tear up and put into bowls keeps her occupied long enough to let me make the rest of the salad), ate dinner, played, gave the kid a bath, started putting her to bed. Left the 2 of them to bed-doing and went out to mow the lawn. Finished that around 9, came in and mopped the kitchen & bathrooms (M had prepped them and done the dishes after TRex was down). And now, me = tired. I was going to look over my handouts for tomorrow, but I think that's going to wait until the morning.
