I apparently have a wish to be down a digit... Last night I sliced through my thumbnail about 1/4" from the end of the nail. Lovely, no? It isn't all that deep and it isn't bleeding anymore, so I don't really need a bandaid. I cut the nail really really short and excavated the paper tape we still had lying around from when we used it to stick TRex's cannula to her face. It's more water-hardy than a bandaid anyway.

Oh, man, this is so very craptacular!

I admit it... I'm watching American Gladiators.  And it is HILARIOUS.
