There is no evidence of mice in our house. No droppings, nothing. The corks from our oil bottles on the counter mysteriously disappeared while we were on vacation, but that could have been gremlins.
This morning, after TRex woke up at FOUR A.M. and whined off and on for the next two-and-a-half-hours, I got up and brought her downstairs. Walked over to the kitchen counter to grab her meds and there, in a bowl with 2" of water in the sink, was one very drowned little grey mouse. I calmly handed her the pill and went to the bathroom. I did not freak out, and when I was done in the bathroom I told her that there was something in the sink that I needed to throw away right away, put on my boots, and now the dead little bugger is out in the trash can. My popcorn bowl has been treated with boiling water. I'm wondering if multiple boiling-water-baths are enough, though. What do you guys think? Bleach, too, and then a trip through the dishwasher?
