I just packed up baby (and older-sibling-of-new-baby) gifts for THREE families. THREE. (One baby is about a month old - maybe six weeks, one is due any day now, and the third is due the first week in November.) And I can come up with two more babies-on-the-way off the top of my head, and I'm certain that I'm forgetting some (and I'm not even COUNTING pregnant InternetFriends in this list). In several cases, these babies are the product of varying levels of infertility treatments, so I'm extra-happy that my friends who have tried soso hard to get and stay pregnant have finally succeeded in doing so. Hooray!
It's a baby boom around here! Hooray!

Also, "A girl in the department has her 7-week ultrasound pictures in a frame on her desk" - a 7w ulstrasound isn't routine (in fact, the first prenatal visit is usally at 8 weeks) so there's a pretty good chance that her being pregnant is extra-special. Not that *I* kept my 7w pics in a frame on my desk, but you get the idea.
