"Nothing says I love you more than clean underwear!"

Not sure I agree with that one, but the task for today is to add laundry to your daily routines.   FlyLady suggests a load a day - which to me is a waste of resources.  The three of us do not make enough dirty clothes to justify a sorted load a day.  But I have been making it a point to do a load as soon as there's a full basket, and I like that method much better than "laundry day" when you have to devote and entire afternoon/evening to being a slave to the washer and dryer.  And part of my evening routine is to fold and put away any laundry that's been done during the day.

Today is going to be a three-load day because I gotta get things washed so that tomorrow night I can pack for our trip to DC.  Which also means that I'll be folding and putting away during Studio 60.

This is the one flylady thing that has truly helped me. Maya can be a messy eater, Sam works out, and I'm a sweaty person, and so the three of us plus kitchen/bedroom/bathroom linens do make one load a day. We have a great non-mangling washer and in lieu of sorting, I wash everything that isn't newly dyed in cold water -- and lo, there is no weekly hip-high pile of laundry any more, I feel like I've got my act together, and I'm only wearing the clothes I really enjoy wearing instead of wearing what is available and clean.
But, uh, there are things that say "I love you" better than clean gutchies.

I tend to agree with you on that one. I do laundry when there is enough to sort loads and the basket is full, albeit, many times overflowing as we currently have one basket and used to use two. So, I usually do laundry once or twice a week on the days that I was planning on staying home anyway, or I'll put in a load at a time as needed. I like that system.
