It never fails...

Last year it was my boots. This year it's my coat. I went to zip up my parka this afternoon and the zipper slider broke. (The zipper pull broke years ago - I have, much to
childsplay7's chagrin, been using a paperclip for probably 3 years. Before that I used a lucet cord until it broke.) Why do my winter clothes always crap out on me right as the stores no longer have any winter stuff available? I could have bought a new bikini, but not a coat. Oh, and did I mention that the high today was 20? Yeah, I definitely need a bikini right now...
Speaking of swimsuits, I did acquire a rasher suit for TRex - she always gets freezing cold in the pool. I had intended to get one when I was at the gym today, but I realized when I fell up the stairs that my depth perception was not good enough for driving. But when I was at Target this evening I found a rasher top with little shorts. If we layer those over a regular suit, hopefully she'll stay warmer.
Speaking of shopping, there is a world of difference between going grocery shopping at 11 am with a two year old (and another grownup) and going shopping by yourself at 8 on a Friday night. 8 on Friday is downright peaceful.
