Man my scope is so out of whack since I was in the Army. Ok when I was young stupid and impervious to pain 2 miles under 16 was the normal. Now I doubt I could walk 2 miles in under a hour. But thinking about it While I was in the Army I was in seriuos training all the time. We ran a minimum of 2 miles 3 days a week and did one 12 mile Forced march once a week. The Airfield next to the Billet was 4.87 miles around and we ran it for lunch training on our off days. On top of all of the SCA combat I was doing at the time. No wonder I was a walking attitude I did not do anything but pump up.
Keep pluggin away at it if the pace you set left you tired but not exhuasted you might just be a natural runner. Problem I faced was keeping the potasium in balance so i would not cramp. But your body will tell you if your pushing to hard. Shin splints usually the first sign.
