I love our house. Really I do. What I don't love is that the previous owners did lots of stuff on the cheap and the people we bought it from weren't the best about plumbing maintenance (we've already had to re-grout one tub and had a valve replaced on a toilet - and there's evidence that the grout problem had happened once before, since there's water damage at the exact location in the ceiling where I noticed the dripping that prompted the discovery of the grout-need).

The drain on our kitchen sink is leaking. It's the top join of the U-joint that's not water-tight. It's not a lot - just a drip. Fixing can probably wait until the weekend. But I foresee a trip to Lowe's plumbing department in my future. I don't know if the U-joint will have to be replaced or if there's some product that can be applied to water-tight the joint. Guess I'll find out this weekend. Good thing M will be home from San Diego and we'll have J & J here (for at least part of the weekend) so we'll have enough people to plumb AND to watch TRex.

Plumbers' Putty is a wonderful thing. Apply to the threads of the joint before putting sections together to help water-tight.
