It's apparently a result of Google bombing, lots of websites listing the site in question in close proximity with the word "failure". Google has a little post about how they're not responsible, although we all notice they've done nothing to change it. According to an old WIRED article, they do have the capacity to change the order in which things come up, but I notice they haven't bothered with this, as much publicity as it's getting. ;)
Y'know, in some ways that's even FUNNIER than the other little tricks that Google has played in the past. (Like when a "lucky" search for "more evil than evil itself" would take you to microsoft.com (or was it MSN?), or a search for "french military victories" yielded a "no entries found... did you mean "french military defeats?")
And yeah. They could change it. But they won't. ;^)
