My shoulders are both acting up (and we have no NSAIDs in the house...). I messed up my knee somehow (probably working out too hard - I'd increased my resistance on leg presses and I've backed down to where I started from. *sigh* When I was 17 I could leg-press my body weight for three sets of 15. Of course, I also weighed under 120 pounds then.). And I've apparently been clenching my teeth REALLY badly at night because I keep waking up with massively sore jaw muscles. At least I'm not grinding, I guess... I'd love to use the Doctor's NightGuard again, but it messed up my tooth alignment (as my dentist warned me that it might) so I'm a bit afraid to lest things get even worse...

We got maybe 3 inches in the past couple of days. It's been really pretty, light, and fluffy snow. Yesterday driving to campus and this morning driving to the gym I was sitting at stoplights marveling and the tiny perfect little snowflakes that were landing on my windshield.

It was easy snow to clear, too, except that the Beast ran out of gas 3/4 of the way through the clearing and then didn't want to restart after I'd refilled it. There's apparently some trick to starting warm that I just don't know. So I wheeled it back to the garage and we'll deal with it later. At least I got the whole driveway done and one pass over the sidewalk.

She's getting over it, though. Saturday it was bad enough that we bought & gave her some baby Sudafed. Well, technically it's children's decongestant - nobody has dosing instructions for kids under 2 on anything. We were told to give her half of a kid's dose of benadryl when she had the hives, so we did half a dose of this and it worked wonders. The faucet of yellowbrown goop was slowed to a trickle. Saturday was actually also the first time that she's had what a real pediatric medical professional would consider a fever. Needless to say she napped a lot & was grumpy when she was awake.

I've already had the cold that TRex has - she gave it to me very early on. I wasn't too bad - a little runny nose, a little tickle in the throat. No biggie. M, on the other hand, is miserably stuffed up and has almost lost his voice. I figure it's divine retribution for the time that I had a flu that left me coughing up blood and with a lingering hacking cough for three months, when he got it LITERALLY for 45 minutes. He felt crappy for roughly the amount of time it took us to drive from his place in Burnsville to my place in Northfield. The bastard.

The class is going well. The second group of student discussion-leaders (a la Pamela F-S) has their day in the sun tomorrow.

Progress is being made. No, really. Of course, I just got an e-mail (sent to the whole department) letting us know that one of my committee members is taking a leave of absence next year. We'll see what the long-term implications of *that* are. Oyvey.
