Someday it might stop blowing my mind that we are usually starting finals on the same day that Carleton has midterm break for spring term.

I'm glad to hear someone else's semester also ends ridiculously early :-) Somehow Hampshire manages to end a week and a half before UMass, even - my last class was yesterday.

Ryerson's final exam period is already over. I guess it makes sense... four months per "semester", except that summer isn't really a semester.

The poor kids need four months in order to make enough money to go to school during the other eight months, I guess.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying when all our colleagues are talking about getting ready for the summer, and we're still right in the midst of everything. There are all these conferences that happen in late May "when everyone's done" that we can't attend. But then I can sit back and laugh in November when we're done for the fall and have our long 6 week break.
